If anyone knows anything about this, I'd be very glad about any suggestions to fix this. None of my mods interferes with the cave in any way that I'd know of. My game loaded the old save without problems with the new mod-setup, I could play normally and do everything, but when I entered the mushroom-cave, the game crashed. I have checked all working / not-working mod-lists for 1.1 and updated or removed my mods accordingly, SMAPI is up to date as well.
I have no idea if it's a mod or not, but entering the shroom- / fruitbat-cave crashed my game. I have a bunch more the game will load with, but I haven't tested them out yet, like the easier fishing mod.Īnyone else doing this kind of mod testing please feel free to add your results to this thread. What does work so far is the Sprinting mod, and I believe Timespeed does too, although I have have yet to test all of it's config functions. I'd suggest using my below method to go in game and empty your fridge before removing this mod. Crashes game when you try to open the fridge. I've been compiling a list of mods that don't work. Original post for reference (many of these mods have now been updated for 1.1). It basically uses the same ideas, but allows you to continue an old save with all the older mods, and still play a 1.1 save too.
There is also a post explaining how to play an unpatched version save of Stardew Valley, and still be able to play a new patched save if someone were to desire to do so. If you want his new maps and you have those mods, use my method to remove everything from your basement/attic/greenhouse or what have you before using the new maps.Īnyways hope all this info is useful to somebody. If you have other mods that do work with 1.1 make sure to update smapi to the 1.1 compatible version. Remove any non working mods from the mods folder.Ĩb. Then put the new Stardew Valley 1.1 back into the folder it belongs in.Ĩa. Cut and paste the pre Stardew Valley 1.1 somewhere else for safekeeping. Get rid of it all, sell it, trash it, whatever.ħ. Remove all machines, all finished products, anything you might have added yourself tied to that mod (if you are saavy with xml). Remove all objects from the game relating to the mods that don't work. Load your game with all your old mods and the pre 1.1 version of Smapiĥ. After removing the updated Stardew Valley from the location you found it, paste the old version of Stardew Valley into the exact same location.Ĥ. Cut and paste Stardew Valley 1.1 (The whole Stardew Valley folder) from the folder location you just opened to your desktop or somewhere else you will remember.ģ.

If you didn't make a backup before it updated, find and get a copy of Stardew Valley pre 1.1ġa Find your Stardew Valley folder.
